IndiGG — SubDAO of Yield Guild Games backed by Polygon
There is a buzz about new gaming guild in town, and its name is IndiGG. They are a subDAO of Yield Guild Games and have the backing of Polygon. India is home to millions of talented gamers and many have not yet heard of this new era of gaming, being the hottest market of P2E gaming it has everyones attention.
So through this collaboration between YGG and Polygon, IndiGG will be aiming to spread awareness of play-to-earn games and also Indian gamers finacially. With the help from their partners and sponsors, IndiGG will offer a selection of NFT assets, skill-enhancing bootcamps, educational opportunities hosted by the biggest brains in crypto gaming today as well as gaming scholarship to aid them financially.
IndiGG has secured $6m in funding from Sequoia India, Lightspeed and more key backers. The seed round saw participation from Sequoia Capital India, Lightspeed Venture Partners, Variant Fund, Play Ventures Dune Ventures,Jump Capital, Griffin Gaming Partners, Transcend Fund, Animoca Brands, Scopely, Backed and Sfermion, IVC, Emfarsis and more.
Angels in the round included Reddit Co-founder — Alexis Ohanian, Alan Howard — Co-founder of Brevan Howard Asset Management and executives from the Indian gaming and entertainment industry, including Mobile Premier League (MPL),Hungama, Nazara, WinZo and Hindustan Talkies.
IndiGG had earlier raised $1mn in its pre-seed led by YGG.
INDI is the native governance token of IndiGG, it is a functional multi-utility token, will be used as economic incentive which will be distributed to encourage users to take part in the growth of Indigg ecosystem, thereby creating a mutually beneficial system where every participant is fairly compensated for its efforts. INDI token will also have utility which will unlock access to different guild enablement tools built indigenously or incubated by IndiGG.
